The strategic imperative that has been identified for improvement is: paternal involvement. For the purpose of this task parental involvement has been defined as the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and purposeful communication involving student pedantic reading and other tutor activities, including ensuring that parents play an integral role in assisting their childs learning; that parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their childs education at school. (Harris, Goodall, & Andrew-Power, 2009, May, p. 153) This youth development agency has developed a program that helps at-risk secondary school students anticipate in school and earn their high school diploma, firearm providing invaluable part time work experience and business organization skills to help prepare them for life after graduation.

Youth advocates also provide enwrap around support to helps students develop good habits, acquire intrinsic skills and achieve their potential to become contributing, responsible young adults at home, school, work, and their community. This agency focuses on long-term advocacy and individual counseling, academic support and enrichment, life skills development and employment readiness training, on with after school jobs with partner companies.
