Mary Elam was born in Saginaw, Michigan on phratry 19th, 1969 to Elder and Mrs. Floyd Walker. She is the second oldest of five children. When Mary was 8 years old they moved to Elba, Alabama. She lived thither until thither until she graduated from Elba mellowed in May 1987 and pursued a career in the United estates array in 1988. While in the Army she met and married Ricky Elam on February 17, 1990. missioner Elam transitioned out of the military 4 years later temporary hookup stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. by and by a brief time in Washington State she and her family were transferred to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While stationed there she served at pentecostal Temple COGIC as the Youth sing Director, the Sunshine roofy President, and as well served on the Hospitality Department. She also worked closely with the jurisdictional Youth Department. She continued to serve in the same capacities when she was relocate to Petersburg, Virginia. She served in ministry at Faith and Hope Temple COGIC. It was there while stationed at Fort Lee, that a strong life history was placed upon her life. She hesitated in answering the call because of fear and doubt.



However, God continued to work on her in spite of her shortcomings.
Missionary Elam finally surrendered to the call in 2001 while being stationed in Killeen, Texas. She submitted to God and served faithfully at Bible Way Church of God in Christ. She served as a Sunday school Teacher for the Youth and Adults, the Adult Choir, the Missionary Department, Elders and Ministers Council President and also worked in the Youth Department.
Throughout the years Missionary Elam has served in many departments at various locations. In Hawaii, as a member of Center of Deliverance COGIC she served as the Youth Choir director, Youth appraise Dance Leader, and also served on the Praise Team.
