The Kite offset Essay
move over is the giving up of something valuable for something of greater value. A famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi says, Real free lightens the mind of the doer and gives him . . . peace and joy. Each point of reference in The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini expresses the act of cede in different ways whether positive or negative. Sacrifice has been a constant and evident theme in the novel, which is shown by dint of the characters of emeer, Baba, and Hassan.
ameer, the main character, shows the theme of return in several ways. For example, Amir sacrifices his life saving Sohrab, his nephew. He knew the risk of saving him, and knew it could by chance mean that he could die and leave his wife, Soraya, a biwa, a widow. But Amir desperately wanted to give Sorab a better life and took his chances. Amir also sacrifices Hassans bole in entrap to get the blue from Aseef , the neighborhood bully. Amir knew that the kite was essential in earning Babas love and was unbidden to give up Hassan since he was just a hazara. in conclusion Amir sacrifices telling Soraya the truth, but he decides to tell her anyway.
Soraya was tender-hearted and understanding given the fact she has done things that she was not to eminent of either.
Baba, Amirs father, also displayed several examples of sacrifice. For example, he stands up to the Russian army protecting an innocent women who was getting sprightly to get raped as collateral. This is an excellent example of sacrifice because Baba did not know the woman personally but was automatic to jeopardize his life for hers. Another example of Babas sacrifice, is when he sacrifices the truth in order to save his reputation.
