TMA 01 Introduction In this essay I will be discussing do and Remaking and how it suggests and focuses on the things people do, their economic activities, their interaction with significant things and the environment, and the ways in which people and places are both connected and disconnected. These meant women were able to get jobs and had more rights in what they did. Women werent allowed to work when deep coal mining was the main industry even if their families were clam up struggling on the wages of their miner husbands, they were expected to cook, overbold and look after their children.

There were a lot of positive aspects when the deep coal mines were open: There was a well-knit sense of association spirit, all men were employed and everyone back up each other. When the miners went on strike in 1984 for 12 months women started to bugger off more independent as it was up to them to find aliment to put on the table, the Maerdy Miners support group was established and Women easy started to gain more independence from then on.
