Macbeth and A madams House
In this paper, I would like to analyze the differences between two famous plays scripted in different times, Macbeth by Shakespeare and A Dolls House by Ibsen. Ill be focusing on the plan, the main characters, diction, spectacles or the stage directions. Some authorised points in the plays will be analyzed to help enlighten the differences.
First, I would like to discuss the plot of the two plays. The plot in Macbeth is simple. From the beginning until the end, the plot is driven by the actions of whizz main character or the protagonist, Macbeth. This is what Aristotle had defined as the trounce tragic plot. The tragedy brings around us a considerable number of people, but it is predominantly the story of one and only(a) person. Everything depends on the protagonist. It was Macbeths own actions that leaded himself to his downfall at the end of the story. We can easily say that the plot is about a noble man who found out that he was prophesied to be King of Scotland.
Then with his destructive ambition, he did degraded actions to make sure the prophecy became true which caused him his own goal in the end. On the contrary, the plot in A Dolls House is not as simple as that in Macbeth. The plot revolves around many characters as much than one of them is responsible for the cause of the departure. Nora forged her fathers signature after he was dead in fellowship to apprehend a loan to help her husband. Krogstad knew about the counterfeit and threatened to reveal the truth to Torvald, Noras husband, if Nora cannot manage to permit Tolvald keeps his job. Tolvald only cared about his dignity and treated Nora as if she was his property. In the end, Tolvald blamed it all on Nora, saying that he wouldnt take any responsibility for the crime.
