Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 to Samuel Ogden Edison and Nancy Matthews Elliot in Milan, Ohio. In school, his teacher was overheard calling young Edison take a leak since his mind often wandered. This ended Edisons 3 months of positive schooling.
